So…I’m Cheryl, a Los Angeles-based photographer that’s also a self-identified foodie, traveler and delusional rockstar when people aren't looking. I have a love for capturing the candid, small moments in life that span people, places and animals beyond the 4-walled sandbox that is The United States.

I’m a 1st generation American born to Vietnamese/Chinese/English parents. I hold degrees in advertising and photography from San Jose State University, but degrees aren't what showed me how to see the world. The first time I picked up an SLR camera was as a plucky young tween. My Dad’s 20 yr-old Canon EOS-1 film camera made me fall in love and I haven’t looked back since.

My photographs tend to be a reflection of my complex and outgoing personality. I am goofy, sentimental and often misunderstood. I laugh in public, sing in private and write anywhere. On any given day, you can find me analyzing what is, or visualizing what isn't. If I’m lucky, you’ll find me with a fellow thinker by my side. Analytical genius astounds me and creative genius relieves me.

I tend to hold rock concerts in my car and risk car accidents for heaven-like cloud formations. I selfishly find beauty in things that inspire me and not the masses. If you make me laugh, I will love you forever.
